I offer clinical supervision to students working on their MA in Counselling Psychology practicum.
I have a collaborative approach to supervision where the focus on the client’s welfare is central. My training is in Adlerian psychotherapy, which is in my opinion the most representative of integrative approaches. With this theoretical background and the openness to learning, I believe I can support students from a wide range of theoretical orientations.
I believe in modeling a strong self-reflective practice and encourage all my counsellors to do so. To my way of thinking, having a sound case conceptualization of our client, based on-going assessment, is essential to creating effective treatment plans. I follow a biospcyhosocial & spiritual model when it comes to treatment planning, and I have found this to be very beneficial in helping the client achieve their goals.
I am personally committed to continuously upgrading my skill set and to integrating the latest findings from current research into my approach to therapy.
